Are pets allowed in the house?

Small dogs are allowed, but only with approval prior to your stay. Tenants are required to adhere to a Pet Policy. There is an additional charge of $10 per night to a maximum of $50 per stay.

Do you have wireless internet?

Yes. Wireless internet is available in the house. The house also has 2 ethernet cables, one in the kitchen and another at the desk in the master bedroom.

Are linens included?

Yes, we supply all linens for the beds and all towels.

Are plates and utensils included?

Yes, our kitchen is well stocked for typical meals and some baking. All you need to bring is food, and there is a grocery store just a few kilometres up the road.

How close is Qualicum Bay to Qualicum Beach?

We are a 12-15 minute drive North of Qualicum Beach on the highway right next to the ocean (19A or West Island Hwy). Check the interactive map found in the Location and Directions section of this website.

You can rent out the main floor (and not the entire house) during the off-season. This option is ideal for couples who want to get away for a weekend and have an oceanside experience. The main floor includes the master bedroom, the fireplace lounge, the sunroom and the kitchen. You have total privacy since we do not rent out the top floor when the main floor is rented out. If you have more people we can add another bedroom on the main floor. This is frequently done when couples bring kids or relatives.

How far are you from the beach?

That depends on the tide. There are no obstructions between us and the beach. You can walk to the water and go for a walk on the sandy beach. During high tide the water is perhaps 30 metres from the house.

Are you a booking agency?

No. We are a family based business. The Oceanside Vacation Home is our home. We have chosen to rent it out while we cannot be there. This allows other to experience and appreciate this amazing part of the world. We choose to rent it to people who will take care of it the way we do.

What is the booking procedure?

If you are interested in booking, please send us an email or phone us. We will send you a rental application that has all the details of what is expected of both parties. You fill out the required information such as names of all tenants, addresses and phone numbers. You can either fill out the credit card information or phone us with this. Upon completion, you sign and fax the document to us. We review the information and forward a rental confirmation letter. This letter contains the code necessary to enter the house or cottage.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check out is 11:00. We ask that people do not try to get into the house early as we are typically cleaning it from the previous tenants.
